    Samuel Johnson hat Deutsch in der Schule und danach an der Uni gelernt.  Während seines Studiums studierte er zweimal in Deutschland, einmal in Marburg und einmal als DAAD Stipendiat in Heidelberg.

    Samuel Johnson began learning German in school but has studied at German universities on two separate occasions and regularly returns to Germany.  He has published a translation of the novel Alf by the author Bruno Vogel.  He is effectively bilingual in German and English.
